Early this year our program won the prestigious John Anson Ford Human Relations Award. This recognition is awarded by the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations for excellence in community based programming for the advancement of equitable inter-group relations, non-violent conflict resolution and an inclusive multi-cultural society. This was a real accomplishment for NOMAD LAB, the Valle del Oro Neighborhood Committee, and a source of celebration for the Santa Clarita City Council.
